Different funds/projects to support

  • Complete financial transparency and very close expenditure control.

Operational Fund

We need to raise a sizeable sum to cover our current yearly operational expenses for the two campuses. We charge students the equivalent of $20 a month in school fees, so your generosity helps us continue to educate our Christian Science children.

Scholarship Fund and Lunch Program

This fund provides financial aid for Kenyan children in need: orphans, refugees, handicapped and internally displaced children. Annual Scholarships run at $ 300 per child at Sunrise Waithaka and $ 600 per child at Sunrise Garden Grove, Kitengela. A $ 25 monthly pledge for Waithaka or a $ 50 monthly pledge for Garden Grove , would pay for a needy child´s education. Donations to this fund will also be spent on a nutritious, well-balanced lunch program for both school.

Capital Projects Fund

  • Nursery School is complete and operational.
  • Sunrise of Africa School Ltd, Garden Grove Primary School:
    Besides the nursery classes, we are currently teaching classes 1 - 6 in a total of seven rooms. Four more classrooms are needed in order to provide each class up to year 8 with its own room.
    Donations to this fund will be spent on the completion of the entire primary school, which is lower if completed in two years, or much higher if completed in 6 years, allowing for inflation. Thus we are keen to complete it as soon as possible..

The Nehemiah Wall Project Fund

This well-built costly stone wall provides protection for the children.  Its foundation protects our land from contamination from neighboring plots, so that our food production for our children´s meals can be sustained. Young overseas donors  are encouraged to donate stones @ $ 1 for 2 stones and become modern Nehemiahs to help build our wall.
